Auto routing

Last updated: October 28, 2026

A key in the auto group is not tied to one group: each request goes to the group that serves its model and is billed at that group's price. One key covers Claude, GPT, Grok and Gemini in Claude Code, Codex and other tools.

Key points
  • Auto tries 「Claude 满血(可外接)」, GPT, Grok and Gemini in that order and takes the first that serves the model.
  • Auto does not include 「Claude 满血(仅限CC)」, so Claude requests are billed at the 可外接 price, in Claude Code too.
  • The order is set by the site and cannot be changed per key.
  • The group each request went to is in the Group column of the usage logs.

How it picks a group

When you choose auto while creating a key, the drawer lists the auto order:

Create API key drawer: group auto, auto order Claude 满血(可外接), GPT, Grok, Gemini, and the cross-group retry switch below

For each request it starts at the first group and uses the first one with an available channel for the model:

Requested modelGroup
claude-opus-5-5, claude-sonnet-5-5 and the restClaude 满血(可外接)
gpt-6.1-sol and the restGPT
grok-4.7, grok-4.6Grok
gemini-3.8-flash-highGemini
A model no group servesAn error, not charged

How it bills

At the multiplier of the group the request went to, exactly as a key in that group would be; auto adds nothing. Because the Claude group in auto is 可外接, a separate 仅限CC key is cheaper if you use Claude only in Claude Code. Both groups' prices are in Pricing.

Cross-group retry

An auto key has a "Cross-group retry" switch. When it is on and the current group's channels fail, the request tries the same model's channels in the next group in order. It matters only when a model is served by more than one auto group; today each model is in one auto group, so the switch makes no difference.

Check it in the usage logs

In the console's usage logs, the Group column shows the group each request went to, and the charge follows that group. If it is not the group you expected, check that the model name matches the Pricing page.

When to use auto

SituationSuggestion
You switch between Claude Code, Codex and other toolsauto, fewer keys to manage
You use Magpie to pick models for several agentsauto
You use Claude only in Claude Code仅限CC, which is cheaper
You use one vendor and want its usage kept apartThat vendor's group

FAQ

Can I change the auto order?

No. The site sets it once, and every auto key follows it.

Does an auto key work in Claude Code?

Yes. Claude requests go to 可外接 and are billed at its price. If you only use Claude Code, 仅限CC is cheaper.

Is a new key on auto by default?

Yes. A key whose group you did not change is on auto; choose another group when you create it, or change it later under "Edit".
